Learning By Doing

Most of the students face a problem of forgetting what they have been taught in the class. This happens in two situations, either, students are not interested or students are unable to build interest. The education system in India only emphasizes on theoretical knowledge. That is when students only study the bookish flowery language which eventually confuses students when they are drawn closer to working in actual. This concept does not give a reason for students to find interest. Students should be taught with a way of learning by doing which can also be referred as experimental learning. The experimental learning helps students to grasp better as they learn how to implement.

The idea of learning by doing gives a new dimension to students to think over. This gives a sense of critical thinking to students. Critical thinking includes thinking rationally, generating self awareness, opening minds, being disciplined and making sound judgment. As a whole in the coming highly competitive future, students get ready to accept challenges. They build a sense of confidence as they are indulged in proactive learning. Experimental learning is required a lot so that students are ready to beat the best.

Schools and colleges should follow this thought of experimental learning through workshops, training sessions, seminars, conferences etc. As a result, students learn at a pace and they understand the proper execution of what is taught in the classroom. Here at, Galgotias University, the concept of experimental learning is followed which helps students enhance their skills and have a critical thinking.
